Renew Anal Tampon

Renew Insert anal inserts are a medical device designed to help people struggling with fecal incontinence and improve their quality of life. Renew acts as an anal tampon, helping to discreetly control symptoms and increase self-confidence in everyday situations.

Renew anal inserts fit softly and comfortably to the body, sealing the rectum from the inside, preventing fecal incontinence symptoms. They provide reliable and discreet internal protection that allows the patient to lead a normal, active life.

Renew anal tampons are made of flexible silicone that conforms to the body, providing softness and a comfortable fit. They can be worn safely day and night.

The material and construction of the Renew anal plug:

  • made of soft, hypoallergenic medical-grade silicone, latex- and phthalate-free.
  • anatomical shape adapted to the anal canal ensures a stable fit, without discomfort.
  • smooth surface, easy to insert and maintain.
  • designed in accordance with safety standards.

Why choose the Renew anal plug?

  • An effective mechanical barrier that minimizes the escape of gas and intestinal contents.
  • Discreet and invisible under clothing.
  • Provides a feeling of freshness and comfort for many hours.
  • Easy to apply and remove.
  • Gentle on the skin and mucous membranes, minimizing the risk of irritation.

How to apply the Renew anal tampon?

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
  2. Open the package by tearing off the top.
  3. Insert your index finger into the applicator while lifting the plug. Your fingernail should touch the clasp.
  4. Press the top disc of the insert with the finger of your other hand to ensure it is securely attached to the applicator.
  5. Insertion Position: The recommended position for insertion is sitting on the toilet. You can also stand with one foot elevated or lie down.
  6. Insertion: Relax your muscles and gently insert the insert into the anus until the applicator touches the rim—take your time; everything should be comfortable.
  7. Applicator Removal: Slowly remove the applicator. The insert should remain in place—the top part slightly inside, and the bottom part—the disc—outside the anus.
  8. Applicator Disposal: Throw the disposable applicator into the trash can and wash your hands.
  9. Insertion: When you're ready to remove it, grasp the disc that's outside and gently pull down.
  10. You can wear one Renew Insert until your next bowel movement. After any bowel movement, replace it with a new one. Use only one insert at a time.

Fecal incontinence

Fecal incontinence, also known as fecal incontinence, is a serious problem that many people struggle with. Loss of bowel control can result from various causes, including nerve damage, weakened pelvic floor muscles, and conditions such as diabetes or multiple sclerosis. These problems can affect the anus and rectum and their interaction, which affects rectoanal reflexes. For people with fecal incontinence, daily life can become difficult, and the lack of control over bowel movements leads to emotional and social problems. It's therefore important to seek professional advice to understand the causes of the condition and discuss available treatment and support options, including the use of anal tampons, which can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Causes of Fecal Incontinence

Causes of fecal incontinence include:

  • Surgical trauma: anal incision and internal sphincter damage, anal fistula surgery, and hemorrhoidectomy. These account for approximately 16% of cases.
  • Inflammatory bowel disease: ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, which can occur due to damage to the sensory receptors in the mucosa during inflammation, and chronic diarrhea.
  • Neurological diseases: stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, lumbar disc herniation, polyneuropathy, nerve damage, Parkinson's disease.
  • Mental illnesses: depression, anxiety disorder, dementia.
  • Perinatal and postoperative injuries - injuries sustained during childbirth (e.g., ruptured or cut episiotomy) account for approximately 9% of cases. Other injuries, such as accidents or rape, account for 2%.
