CALMONA collared urethral pessary

The CALMONA silicone collar urethral pessary is used for stress urinary incontinence, which may co-occur with vaginal wall depression and a functional pelvic diaphragm. Thanks to the thickening of the pessary, which supports the area of ​​the connection between the bladder and the urethra, it is possible to prevent urine leakage. The urethral pessary prevents the upper part of the urethra from opening when intra-abdominal pressure increases when coughing or moving.

The urethral pessary can be used in cases of minor uterine prolapse.
