PERIPROBE A2STW is a rectal probe for electrostimulation of the puborectal muscle and the internal anal sphincter.

Contrary to the PERIPROBE 2ST model, the connection to the electrostimulator is achieved using two 20 cm long cables and therefore does not require a PERIPROBE-ST adapter.

Due to the position and size of the electrodes, the probe is not suitable for EMG biofeedback training.

The probe is suitable for use in the supine position.

A large plastic ring on the outer end of the probe divides the region in contact with the patient from the region intended for the electrical connection. The probe electrodes are gold-plated with nickel-free technology, making them ideal for people allergic to nickel. Additionally, the presence of gold ensures good biostatic and biocompatible properties, therefore the probe is perfect for contact with mucous membranes.

Cleaning - vaginal probe:

After each use, the probe should be washed with mild soap and water. If necessary, the probe can be disinfected with alcohol and rinsed with water before use. The probe should not be sterilized. The probe is intended for personal use. After 60 sessions, if there is a need for further use, the probe should be replaced with a new one.

Contraindications:

• infection of the anus or rectum,
• cancer of the colon or the genitourinary system,
• pregnancy
• pacemaker - consultation with a doctor is necessary
