PERISPHERA-A is a double rectal probe for electrostimulation of the pelvic floor muscles and EMG biofeedback in the treatment of urinary or stool incontinence, as well as for problems with defecation (mainly in men). The probe is equipped with 4 gold-plated electrodes in nickel-free technology, making them ideal for people allergic to this element. Additionally, the presence of gold ensures good biostatic and biocompatible properties, therefore the probe is perfect for contact with mucous membranes.

The PERISPHER-A probe has 2 current circuits consisting of 4 electrodes (2 front and 2 rear) that are positioned along the probe. Their purpose is to deliver current pulses to the rectal mucosa. The current flowing between the electrodes creates a stimulus affecting the motor nerves responsible for muscle contractions. The PERISPHERA-A probe allows for independent stimulation of the puborectal muscle and the internal anal sphincter. The 4 electrodes (2 on the front and 2 on the back) can be connected to the separate output channels of the pacing unit or to one channel using special optional Y-shaped wire adapters. The probe fits cables with a 2mm pin connector.

The probe can also be used for EMG biofeedback therapy, where the use of 2 channels allows for more accurate information about the condition of the muscles during contraction of the puborectal muscle and the internal anal sphincter.

The electrode is equipped with a safety handle with 4 positions, which allows for correct orientation of the probe. The insertion depth can be adjusted in the range from 40 to 55 mm, depending on the anatomical structure of the patient. The special shape enables smooth application and comfortable maintenance of the probe. Additionally, the spherical shape, which is appropriately flattened, does not put pressure on the enlarged prostate in men diagnosed with enlarged prostate gland (BPH).

Cleaning of the vaginal probe

After each use, the probe should be washed with mild soap and water. If necessary, the probe can be disinfected with alcohol and rinsed with water before use. The probe should not be sterilized. The probe is intended for personal use. After 60 sessions, if there is a need for further use, the probe should be replaced with a new one.
